ACQUISITION OF OCS AND ORANGE STUDIO

The CANAL+ Group is delighted to be able to finalize the acquisition of the OCS pay-TV bouquet and the Orange Studio film and series co-production subsidiary from its long-standing partner Orange, following approval from the French Competition Authority. The latter authorized the transaction after a detailed analysis of its effects on the market and made it subject to compliance with several commitments by the CANAL+ Group.

The CANAL+ Group, OCS and Orange Studio share the same savoir-faire and passion for creation. OCS - whose quality of service and content is recognized by industry professionals and subscribers alike - will strengthen CANAL+ Group's Cinema and Series offerings. With Orange Studio, the CANAL+ Group, which already owns Europe's leading film and TV studio STUDIOCANAL, adds to its catalog of 1,800 audiovisual and cinematographic works, including Oscar-winning films such as The Artist and The Father, as well as 200 co-productions.

This deal, which secures the activities and jobs of OCS and Orange Studio, will be finalized by the end of January. The integration of the OCS and Orange Studio teams into the CANAL+ Group will take place at the beginning of February.
